Defying Gravity

I couldn't post this in the post down below so I'm posting it here.
Down below is the song "Defying Gravity" and it's from the musical. I've lost count of how many times I've listened to it. Btw, that's the song Tian and I were singing at camp :L We were gonna give Brenda a concert but no, in the end we were just too sleepy. (oh, the beginning is a bit strange, it gets better halfway).

EDIT: I'm having troubles with my blog posts. If you can, please comment and tell me whether you can see the song I just posted, and also whether you can see the movie that's in the post below. Thank you :)

WICKED

OMGOMGOMGOMGOMG*hyperventilate*OMGOMGOMG. I totally can't wait till the first week of the holidays. Tian and I are going to the Capitol Theatre to see Wicked!! WHOOOOOOOOO! *runs around room screaming*

Eeek its gonna be so good ^^ (Well it better be since the tickets cost like 100 bucks). For those utterly clueless people, Wicked is a musical based on the book...called... well, "Wicked".

Everyone knows the Wizard of Oz right? Well Wicked goes back in time to tell us the story of the Wicked Witch of the West and how she became wicked. In high school (or was it witch school?) she and the Witch of the East shared a room together. At first they don't really like each other because one has green skin and the other is too "blond" but gradually, they beome best friends. Stuff happens then she becomes Wicked. Again, I CAN'T WAIT!!

Photos

Not gonna blog much next week cuz of the (gay) tests. & also not gonna blog about camp cuz there's just too much stuff + you could just read Belinda's blog anyway. I'll just show you a few pictures cuz my photos take FOREVER to upload.

We tried running gracefully through the beautiful fields. It was a fail. Let's just say that it looks a lot easier in the movies.

When I find time, I'll post more stuff but that's all for now. Luv you guys xox

P.S Thank you Elyn for Dimitri. Even though you only gave him to me cuz he's "gay" :p
P.P.S Nanc, just cuz I'm two months older than you doesn't mean you're gonna live two months more than me :L

How I Spent my Weekend

Dear Diary Blog

Today, I woke up at 9:00 and was supposed to go swimming. But being the lazybum that I am, I went on the computer instead and waited for my sister to leave for swimming. 10 minutes after they left, my dad rang home and said to my mum, "Hey! How come cynthia's not in the car?" lols.

After that, I felt guilty so when Tian came over, we decided to get off our asses and ride bikes instead. It's been so long since I last rode my bike that it made this horrible squeaky sound every time I braked. Still, it was a nice day for riding. It was sunny-but not too sunny and we managed to ride for half an hour before it became too hot. There's only so many laps you can do around the townhouse though, so at 11:45 we decided to ride laps around the block instead.

Unfortunately the man (my mum) wouldn't let cuz she thought we'd get raped or arrested by the police for not wearing helmets so tian and I asked Roxie instead. I mean, she is 19 already, which means she's an adult. She said,"Yeh, yeh, do whatever you want," so we snuck out the gates and rode a few laps :) Yuan joined us after a bit but then we had to go back in cuz my mum would start to notice we were missing.

After scabbing ice blocks off nancy's mum, we went to my house to watch a movie on the big screen. We took ONE HOUR to decide what to watch and that was only after watching this youtube video on the top 20 disney movies of all time. Did you know that Tarzan is number 20 and got beaten by Bambi (no. 17) How is that even possible?? And what the hell is Emperor's New Groove even doing on that list when Mulan and Pocohontas didn't even get on? WHERE IS THE BLOODY JUSTICE IN THAT?! WHAT HAS THE WORLD COME TO??

Phew, I'm sorry. It's just... disney movies... mean such ....a great deal to me :'(

Anyway, we ended up watching Beauty and the Beast (which was voted the no. 1 disney movie) and it was so good. The first time i watched it, I didn't think much of it. My favourite disney movie has always been Ariel (it was no.2 on the list) but I might need to reconsider now.
(btw, we originally wanted to watch Barbie and the Three Muskateers but noooo, tian said we had to wait for nancy >:( who, might I add, WAS NOT HOME. Oi fatso, you cost me my barbie movie *grrrr*)
When the movie finished, I had to go tutoring. blehh. I got there, walked into the classroom and realised everyone was giving me a "who the hell is she?" look. LOL. I couldn't recognize anyone in that class. I felt like such an idiot standing there. I half turned towards the door and was walking back out when one of the girls said, "Hey! Are you in the 10A class? They don't have tutoring today."

DUN DUN DUN DUUUUN. That made me feel even more like an idiot. Just then, the tutor walked in and he was like," Cynthia! You don't have class today, didn't I tell you?" and I was thinking, "DAMN, I should really pay more attention in class." But then i remembered that I left class early last week and that was why I didn't know tutoring was cancelled.
Successfully wasted 20 minutes of my life that could've been used to play Sims instead? Check.

But yeh, that was all stuff that happened today. Yesterday night, Tian, Nancy and Amy came over to eat KFC and watch movies. And I finally got my new camera!! Yay! It's a Coolpix S220 and this is what it looks like:

*insert holy music*

Yesss... Those days of crappy quality pictures are all behind me now. From now on, I will take GOOD QUALITY PICTURES. Oh yeh!

Funnily enough, the first thing I took a picture of was my sister's butt... well who told her to block my view of the tv screen? >:(

What do you think? I have talent don't I? These pictures convey so much meaning and stuff :) I should totally become a professional photographer.

Kanye West

LOL. Why thank you :)

Like, OMG

This morning, Tian and I were talking about the latest chapter of Skip Beat:

Me: OMG Tian, skip beat!

Tian: I KNOW YEH! OMG!

Me: So shocking! OMG!

Tian: OMG! :O

Me: OMG!

Strange

It's a strange feeling,

When your sister does something you've already done...

Except better.

Such as go to an orientation night for high school.

& come back telling you how great it was,

how excited she is,

& how much she already loves that school.

It feels...

Strangely dispiriting?

disheartening?

depressing?

I suppose it feels,

strange.

NEW New Moon Trailer

ZOMG. Have youse seen the new, new moon trailer? It's so awesomely awesome. There's more action and suspense in it. The director looks like he's done a good job with it - I can't wait =D My only regret is that he didn't get to do the first one. That first one was a pitiful excuse for a film. PITIFUL I TELL YOU.

In answer to Anita's question, yes, I still blog :) even though it seems like no one else does...

I'm so proud of myself. I did FOUR of those science assignment thingos today without a break in between. ^^ So proud of myself for not getting sidetracked. I did play some point & click games and dressupgames at the beginning but... that's beside the point.

There's not much to say about school. Umm... in science, our paper mache star was such a FAIL that poor juliana had to do it all again at home. But she said she didn't mind so yeh. Seriously though, our first one looked like something that got run over, pushed back into shape and then jabbed 100 times by some vicious bird. LOL.

My sister's been doing many performances lately. Tonight, she danced at the Gillawarna Festival or some shit like that and my dad recorded the whole show. Guess what song the choir sang? Under the Southern Skies- Nikki Webster :L Brings back memories, doesn't it nanc? *wink wink nudge nudge*

What else did I do at school? Erm.. me, hannah and tian made a halfish-singing group at recess and we sang (atrociously) any of the lame songs we could come up with. In maths, I had the quadratic equation song stuck in my head. I bludged in english cuz I finished english rules (H) and yes I realise none of youse want to hear about these insignificant little details of my life so I'll just stop here.

P.S. I hope people start blogging again... I have nothing to read when I'm bored :(

For the sake of keeping this blog alive...

LOL, what happened to blogging? Did it suddenly die off and become extinct? I was gonna blog yesterday but I used up my 70 GB. However, my net got renewed today so YAY! Back to draining it all by watching Bleach =D

On Friday night, I went to my sister's drama thingo. It was held at Campbelltown Art Gallery and me, tian and my family arrived at 7:30pm. Basically, it was many schools (high + primary) coming together and presenting a series of short acts. The show went on for approximately 2 hours with a 20 minute interval and my sister had three lines. Yes, you heard right, 3 lines. Ah wells, it was entertaining though. Those people are so FREAKIN' TALENTED. Especially the ones that came from Performing Arts High School.

Here's a rundown of some acts:

  • One was about a girl who had insomnia. The whole act was about her staying awake at night. Sounds boring but it was entertaining, especially when she started going insane and talking to herself
  • Another item was about a group of children/teens who sneak into a murderer's house while he's away. They're having lots of fun when suddenly, he comes back with a dead body. It kinda confused me but in the end, the children murdered him O_O
  • My sister's one was called "The Jabben" and it was about little itsy bitsy monsters that evolved because of humans littering. Enough said.
  • One was set in a hospital and there were cockroaches in someone's ear. Nice.
  • The one I really really liked was the last one. I didn't really understand it but the acting was so AWESOME. It was by some performing arts high school. I think this group of weird scientists were experimenting on a robot human or something. They were trying to unravel the mysteries of human kind and their feelings, e.g. love. There was an agent called "Agent Gay" and he wore makeup and kept shouting, "OMG BRITNEY, BRITNEY!" LOLs.

There were many more acts but I can't be bothered describing them all. I've gotta go buy a new camera cuz my sis broke my old one at camp. I don't mind though, I'm gonna get a brand new one that doesn't take shitty quality photos =D

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire

There's only 3 words to describe "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire"
OH MY GOD

If you haven't read the first one "Hunger Games", I suggest you do straightaway, before it becomes a full on craze (like what happened with twilight). & I'm not lying when I say its really good. It's REALLY REALLY REALLY GOOD.

Is that not enough to convince you? Well how about if I told you that its won awards and gone on bestseller lists:

Fat Man on the Roof

Nanc, I now understand why you were so scared about ppl falling through your roof. OMG the roof is SHAKING!! & the fat person who's standing up there keeps sneezing. My sister said that she was about to change clothes and then realised that there was a ladder near her window and a man was climbing up that ladder O_O

Today I went swimming with my sister and afterwards, we bought slushies and scallops. Haha I think we ate more than we excercised... I then went Livo and bought...

THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE
(sequel to the Hunger Games)

YAYAYAYAYAY! I've already read up to chapter 5 and its so goooooooood. (& sad as well). I nearly cried at pages 75 - 77. I'm trying to read the book slowly cuz I don't want it to end. lols. BTW othilia, nancy and bonnie, peeta is mine. Youse can all have Haymitch :)

At Coles, my dad was being his usual cheap self. You know how you can get like 4% off fuel if you spend 30 bucks or more at Coles? Well, my dad was splitting up all our groceries into 3 groups, each worth 30 bucks, and paying for them seperately so he could get more of those discounts. One group was only worth $28 and so he said to the checkout dude, "Can I add one more thing to this pile?" T_T His cheapness never fails to amaze me.

At the end of the day, he's only gonna be saving 3 x 0.4 x 50L. Which is basically, 6 bucks. Heh, might as well not go to all that trouble and put those Arnott biscuits back onto the shelf...

Reverie

Luna loved to daydream, or nightdream, whatever you wanted to call it. And one of the best places to do that was up in the moon. She gazed down at the city lights, lost in reverie and absentmindedly kicking a stray cloud that drifted past. Humans were stupid creatures, she thought. Why did they destroy the sky’s luminescence by turning on all those lights below? Luna’s cousin, Nova, was a star fairy and she’d often complained to Luna that her brightness was being underappreciated by the humans. Unlike Luna, Nova hadn’t used to be a human before she became a star and was quite negligent when it came to humans. Luna just couldn’t destroy the star fairy’s dream by telling her that humans thought she was a giant ball of gas…

Hannah Montana Movie

MusicPlaylist
Music Playlist at MixPod.com

Surprisingly, Hannah Montana was a really good movie :D I used to think Miley Cyrus was soooo overated and had the voice of a frog. I still think she has the voice of a frog but as for the overated part, well, I guess I understand why people like her so much.

Or maybe I've just been brainwashed as well.

Tennessee is really very pretty (I'm assuming they shot the movie there). After watching the movie, I really wanted to go there and ride horses into the sunset. ><' Why didn't I go there while I was in the US? But then again, movies tend to glorify places and make them seem better than they really are. Still... I want to live in a house that overlooks beautiful hills and meadows and I want to wake up early in the mornings to go horse riding with my friends. -sigh- We all know that's never gonna happen.

I really liked the songs that she sang in the movie, especially the duet one with her dad. (That's the song I posted up there- thank you nancy :)

That Travis guy was cute as well ^^ I heard that he was the guy from the Taylor Swift music video. No wonder he looked kinda familiar...

The movie wasn't overly funny, like how the episodes usually are but there were lots of cute parts (aka the horse eating her wig).

One thing that seemed a bit strange was the revolving door part. Seriously, how long can you STAY in a revolving door anyway? I'm pretty sure she was in that thing for at least 40 seconds. It kinda ruined the dramatic-ness of that scene :L
All in all, it was a really nice, sweet movie that I wouldn't mind watching over and over again.
Off topic: Tian just came around to ask if I wanted to go to Animania with her and Roxie tomorrow. I said yes and then realised that it cost $35 :( It's not really worth it just to pay 35 bucks to get it and then buy takoyaki is it? Plus I only wanted to go cuz I didn't want to go swimming with my sister...

New Moon Pics

Before:

After:

You've probably seen these new photos, but I felt like posting them here anyway.

Don't they look awesome? :D Especially Dakota Fanning. I loooove those red red eyes. From these pictures, I get the feeling that new moon is gonna be better than twilight. If it does turn out to be better, my only regret would be that this director didn't get to direct Twilight :(

WHY DON'T YOU LIKE ME?

SA SA MOKU!!
was the new word I learnt today :) Actually it's supposed to be sa sa baby but I substituited moku (fag) into it. Either way, it's gonna sound weird so w/e.

Tomorrow is the dreaded monologue. At least I hope I get to say it tomorrow cuz I've spent the whole week waiting for my name to be drawn out of the hat. I could've used that time wisely to edit my present speech but I felt too lazy. There were lots of ppl in my class who had really good speeches that were funny/dramatic and compared to them, my speech sucks shit. Oh well... :(

Lunch today was fun :L Othilia, Bonnie and I were standing near the light area and ambushing people - kind of like the mexican wave thingo except everytime someone walked past, we would shout, "WHY DON'T YOU LIKE ME?!?" At first, I kept cracking up and could only say, "WHY DON'T YOU - PFFFFFFF *insert hysterical laughter*" cuz it was too embarassing. I sounded like a crazy person -.-' But in the end, we finally managed to say it without cracking up. Unfortunately, one of the people who walked past was my reading buddy so I'm guessing that on Friday, she's gonna be giving me strange looks while reading.

In music, we had to listen to Ms H play THAT song. I'm not sure but I think she's played THAT song to our class at least 3 times. If I hear her play THAT song one more time, I'm gonna spontaeneously combust. One of the things we're doing in music this term is, we finally get free choice in what song we want to play. I'm thinking of doing Howl's Moving Castle but its a bit complicated cuz 1. there aren't enough parts, and 2. othilia's not sure if she can play it on violin. Ah wells, we've got heaps more time to pick, I guess.

I'm gonna end off here with the two books you MUST READ. When I say must read, I mean READ-OR-ELSE-I'LL-COME-BASH-YOU. ok? ^^

  • Beastly - which I mentioned was gonna be turned into a movie.
  • & The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins

What are you waiting for man? READ.

More Quizzes

It's been a while since I've done any quizzes :) So during my break from tutoring hw, I did some. LOLs. Here are my results:

What Colour Should Your Hair Really
Be?

Brunette
You are the genius of the group. You always get what you want whether the people providing whatever it is realize it
or not. You love to read and gain knowledge. You don't normally enjoy sports or
physical workouts, but you put up with them anyway, for it's all in your plan.
You are the one people come to for advice, for they see you as a leader, even
though you don't qualify for the role.

*sigh* I wanted some other cool/wacky colour (like black with purple highlights or red) but I got stupid brunette. The sport thing is kind of true.

What tv/movie/book character are
you?

Elizabeth Bennet
You are kind but head strong
and will not let others influence you.

What Will Your Year Be Like? (school year theme
song included)

Bad...
Are you okay? If you answered correctly, your
year will most likely be bad. Don't freak out! I could be wrong, I mean this is
a homemade quiz. But if you would like to read further, please do so. You tend
to not participate in extra curricular activities. And you hate school functions
such as football games and the occasional pep rally. Stop sitting
around! Get off your a** give in to the clichés of having school spirit. All the
while, having fun and kicking back with your friends. It's the only way. Now,
you might be happy with your lifestyle and that's fine. I can't change that.
