The Extent of my Dislike

Not sure if I've ever mentioned this, but I bloody hate English Advanced/Extension so much. Like, if someone came up to me and told me that Fifty Shades of Grey was their favourite book and that Twilight was one of their favourite movies ever made and that  Nat Bassingthwaite was, in their opinion, the greatest judge of X Factor ever and totally awesome at picking songs for Bella Ferraro, my hatred for that person would not exceed my hatred for the subject of English.

.....about the subject of English.

So yeah, I really hate high school English - just had to get that off my chest. And if someone finally discovers what use I will have for being able to critically analyse A Doll's House or successfully comparing EBB's sonnets to The Great Gatsby in the future, by all means, please share your views.

Romanticism is Anything but Romantic

Romanticism should go die in a hole.

And that's all I have to say about that.

........

..............

.....................................................................

.............................................................................!!!!!!!!

Okay okay I lied. I actually do have more to say. (To echo the words of my favourite Korean drama blogger, Javabeans, "Brevity is not my friend. I want to be its friend, but it shuns me regularly.") So let me clarify. I don't HATE Romanticism as a topic per se, I just hate how difficult it is to find related texts for the subject.

You must be thinking, how is that possible? There must be a billion books and poems out there about Romanticism! That might be true but the fact is, I would rather stick pins into my eyeballs than read any more poetry or classical literature.

For example, while I was haunting the library today (I use the word haunting because everytime I'm in there, I feel like Moaning Myrtle. Seriously, try spending 12 periods a week in there and see if you don't go insane) I decided that I should probably get a head start on finding related texts. Predictably, the library didn't have anything. So I tried reading something on my laptop. Three chapters into Mopey Dickhead Moby Dick, I felt like giving up. Not because it's bad or anything but just because books like that no longer capture my attention. I want to read something entertaining that doesn't require functioning brain cells. And plus, I HATE choosing related texts. I HATE IT. How do you know what you choose is going to be relevant for the HSC question? What if the Romanticism question deals with imagination but the texts that I've chosen barely mention anything about it. What would I do?? My whole HSC could quite possibly hinge on that one question and its marks.

Le sigh. Whatever. I'm just gonna bo back to doing maths homework. Good ol' dependable maths - too predictable and monotonous to ever become a threat to my HSC. (Oh damn, did I just jinx myself?).

P.S. If you're reading this Othilia, maths homework is question 1-7 of exercise 5.8, and the whole of 5.9. I tried ringing you to tell you that but no one picked up the phone.

EX2

English Extension 2 is stressing me out... and I haven't even started anything yet! I blame it on the stupid conference today. The first part was interesting but then the stupid Krump (Crump?) woman came on and was like, "DON'T WRITE A SHORT STORY!" I wasn't going to write a short story anyway but her whole speech grated on me. I didn't believe her whole "I am really passionate about english extension 2" thing she had going on. Lady, let me give you some advice. If you want people to believe that you're passionate about something maybe you should try NOT speaking in a monotone voice?

Sigh. I feel scared now. Am I really supposed to maintain an interest in a project that will haunt me for 9 months? Also, I'm not exactly sure what I'm passionate about anymore. I feel a bit lost right now. Ah well, I'll always have my trashy novels and Doctor Who.

My strange dream

Change was in the air...

As I walked into the classroom, a strange feeling came over me. The whole room was strained in anticipation and everyone's eyes were drawn to the blackboard. I followed the whole room's line of sight and nearly fell over from shock. This was REALLY unexpected.

DUN DUN DUN DUNNNNN..

We were actually gonna WRITE something in English :O -shocked gasp-

sources: based on a true story

******

Did I tell you about my dream? It was really STRANGE, but then all dreams are supposed to be strange.
I was Blair in gossip girl and I was telling chuck bass that I loved him. LOL He was saying something in return but I couldn't hear him because my dream suddenly changed. I found myself below deck on a ship. Instead of floorboards, there was glass. Out of nowhere, a GINORMOUS WHALE swam under the ship. I think I nearly died from shock. After that, the dream changed again and I was in a tree, watching this guy down below. He seemed to be lost so I came down from my tree and talked to him...

& then I woke up :(

Hello People, are you having a nice day? I WAS until somebody told me the answers for the maths test and I realised I made lots of silly mistakes. School was alright though. In maths, mr ngov put some algebra questions on the board and spent like 5 minutes doing the working out when I already knew the answer by writing one line :L I played with wax in science. That experiment took 15 mins? and thenI spent the rest of the period watching nails rust. yay. I ate 2 lolly snakes in music and they were both green. Stephenie ate like.. 4. XD

BBF was so sad TT' I didn't exactly cry, but my eyes leaked tears. & I'm not really a crying person. I mean, I laughed when that girl died in one litre of tears. Go figure.

I was looking through some things on a twilight fanfiction site and did you know there's a story called "My Name is Cynthia" and its about a girl named cynthia turning into a vampire. The girl who wrote this story has talent. LOL

I seem to be obsessed with "Your mama" jokes. Like this one:

Your mum's so fat that people exercise by running laps around her.

Hehe =3

R.I.P Froggy

YAY I finished my maths tutoring HW :) Now i can blog about the past few days, there's so much to talk about.

First off, the frog in E block. It looked like it just died recently. The rainwater had probably washed it to the side near the bubblers and it was trapped there when I saw it. Its body was pale and floppy and when i poked it with a stick, its skin sagged a little. Poor thing :( Sooo, someone (Snezana i think) rolled it out from the bubblers and left it there. When the bell rang for the end of lunch, lots of ppl walked to their class and ONE GUY STEPPED ON IT!! Froggy's body got squished and all its guts and organs fell out :O

I now proclaim a one minute silence for Froggy

-silence-

Anyways, did anyone watch So You Think You Can Dance on Sunday? That vampire routine was so cool XD Charlie is now my new favourite. Also, LOL at the part when Penny said "Everyone should open up and EMBRACE THE PENNY!"

The atoms look really cheap and foil-ish. It's probably time to try a different approach. Foam balls maybe?

Did I tell you that i have an urge to write? I want to write about something. English class has been so depressing.I haven't written anything yet, and its been 3 weeks... All I've been doing is Find-a-words and murder mysteries, but i guess that part is alright. I guess this blog will just have to be my alternative for the time being.

CURRENTLY READING: Sabriel by Garth Nix
It's a good book, a bit scary at times but maybe that's just me O.o

Well, that's all i can think of right now. I'll try to blog more often but that might be impossible because of HW overload. I'm practically drowning ><. Someone save me, please.

P.S Nancy, if you're reading this you're gayer than my foil atoms :)
