So Unproductive

Man, watching other people blog about studying/homework makes me feel so unproductive. Cause while you guys are doing maths or physics homework of whatnot, I'm just sitting here rewatching old dramas, reading my trashy novels, playing Zelda on Wii and having disco parties in the middle of the townhouse. I should study but I really cannot be bothered.... and I don't even know what to study. My subjects aren't studyable lol. Aisssh, okay I should find something productive to do today.

Ze Holidays

After this post, I will try not to blog about school or homework for the rest of the holidays. Because seriously, why would you want to hear about those things during your 6 week break?

*****

I don't have much homework these holidays.... and it's quite a strange feeling. Last year, I remember stressing over all my modern and history extension stuff whilst everyone else was out in the world enjoying life and now the role has been reversed. Let's see, what do I have to do? I've got to do that 800 word thing for english extension, I have to read that booklet on As You Like It, read Wuthering Heights (ew) and find related texts for both extension and advanced. It's not that bad. The big hurdle will probably be getting a move on with the Extension 2 project but that's okay, I've got time.

I have to keep myself occupied though, otherwise I'll fall into another pit of anxiety. I've got my Sims, my books and... well that's about it. Doctor Who is starting again but that's hardly going to be a significant time filler. I should exercise but I don't know what type of exercise to do. Bike riding? Meh, maybe when Nancy gets her bike.

But I should stop griping. I would choose being bored over going to school any day. HOLIDAYS, COME AT ME BRO.

Finally, We're Here

I'm so excited for today. At around 2:30pm, all six of us plus my two older cousins are going to be visiting our primary school teacher who's finally retiring after like, decades of teaching. We're going to bring her flowers and chocolates and cards and everything is going to be all rainbows and happiness and unicorns. And also it's the start of the holidays and that makes me happy. I'M SO HAPPY GUYS.

I have decided that I don't spend enough time being happy. I am a very anxious person. If I don't have something to stress about, I will eventually find something. It's like I purposely seek out stress and anxiety. E.g. after I finished the Year 12 hsc exams, I started stressing about the other upcoming tests despite telling myself that I should just enjoy the lull. (That reminds me, I got my name in the paper in the HSC merit list....along with a bijillion other people) And I tell myself that I'm going to enjoy the holidays but I betcha after about a week, I'm going to start feeling fidgety and restless over not having started any of my holiday homework. Aissh I need a life :(

Anyways I dont' know why I'm wasting time blogging when I could be playing Sims or doing something equally unproductive. Cyaz!

A Very Mundane Blog Post

Hiiii!! :D

My computer totally hates me. Oh and btw, I'm talking about the one in my room, not my laptop. It works totally fine - there's no viruses, no malware, no intentionally malicious content or anything but it's so freakin' SLOOOOOOOOOW. Think of the speed at which Mr Banner talks... then multiply that by 100. I've tried everything. I've disabled all internet toolbars and add-ons, cleaned up my temporary internet files, and disabled any background applications that I could find. It didn't help one bit. Sigh. It's gotten to the point where I have to wait 20 seconds for one internet page to load (yes, I timed it). Grrrrrrr, so frustrating. *headdesk*

But apart from my uncooperative internet, I can't say there's much to complain about. I'm going to make the most of these holidays, even though I have to dedicate at least 2 hours of study everyday to the subjects-that-shall-not-be-named. My shockingly bad practice test run in H.E. was a major wake up call. Hah. But everytime I try to sit down and do some work, there's a voice in the back of my head that says, "Everyone else doesn't have much homework to do these holidays. Why are you slaving away?" I should just ignore that voice. LOL But I get this feeling that next year, when all the other Year 12s are working hard at their assignments and tests, I'll just be lying there in the corner, suffering from burn-out...

Anyways since my normal computer hates me, I'll just have to blog and do stuff from this laptop. Which is totally fine btw because I've got lots of Doctor Who gifs on this laptop. Here, have a gif:

Oh and as an update, I'm up to Series 2, episode 10 (yes I know I'm rushing through the series. I can't help it. Need MOAAARR!!) so for those who are going to be joining me in watching what is supposedly the most scariest episode of DW, it might not be until a few days later. Last time I checked, I think Blink was episode 10 of Series 3. OMG ARE YOU READY GUYS?! I'M SO EXCITED BUT SCARED LOLOLOL.

********

P.S. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WxB1gB6K-2A is a comedy skit by Catherine Tate and David Tennant if you're bored..... I remember watching it a while back and I laughed so hard at it even though I didn't really know who David Tennant was (it was still hilariously funny!). But now that I do know and I can totally catch the Doctor Who references, it's even more hilarious.

Hehehehehe. ~BITE ME ALIEN BOY!!~

P.P.S. No, I am not going to stop with the gif spams. One can NEVER have enough Doctor Who gif spams. JUST YOU TRY AND STOP ME!!

Awesome gifs are awesome, no?

I suspect the Nargles are behind it...

I don't know why but these holidays have felt like being in a waiting room. What I've been waiting for, I'm not exactly sure but there has definitely been a sense of ....non-accomplishment? I don't know the exact word for it but I just haven't felt fulfilled. Maybe it's because during the whole holidays, I've felt a sense of dread about the HSC trials. I feel like, once I've done that, and then the actual HSC, then I can enjoy myself. Only when I watch Shitty Hunter do I feel like I can escape from all that. ITS SO GAY. If I feel like this now, how will I feel next year?

I was talking to Leanne yesterday and we were talking about how much studying we did in the holidays. She's does, freaking FIVE HOURS every day in te holidays. I only fit in about 3 hours per day (and only if it's a good day). But then again, I only have 2 subjects lol. Ah well... And then we started discussing Harry Potter and how our lives are so purposeless right now. But Snez pointed out that we still have The Hunger Games to look forward to... ~OMG REVELATION~. So it's all good. But to be honest, I don't think anything could ever fill the void of Harry Potter - not even my precious Peeta or, though I hate to admit it, Lee Min Ho.

Okay, back to studying The Fundamental Causes of World War I and The Importance of Ludendorff's Spring Offensive and the Allied Response. CYNTHIA, FIGHTING!!! *fist pump*

French Lesson 1

Katniss and Peeta - by ChiyoNemuri

Yesterday was the last day of Year 10 which means that today is the first day of the holidays for me :) It hasn't really sunk in yet but I'm sure it will soon. I'm determined to make the most of these holidays cause people have told me that by the time you get to Year 11 and 12, the holidays aren't actually for relaxing. *gasp!* No... in fact they're for catching up on work and doing assignments.

So anyway Year 10 assembly was an epic fail. Mr E's speech was a face-palm times 200.
"Oh hehe! It's a blank page. Oh dear! hehe. Oh I apologise... Look, it's blank!"
Says the idiot. And what the hell was he talking about? "Did you all get wet yesterday! I got wet!" And then you can hear scattered laughs and murmurs from the crowd. He also said Katherine's name wrong, poor girl. How the hell do you mistake Ca-tri-na for Ka-the-rine?

Snez and I had to stay for modern. For periods 7 and 8, we sat in Ms L's eco class. That class is so funny LOL. One guy kept trying to shoot people with rubber bands and Ms L had to tell him to stop it about fifty times. There was a spider in the corner of the room and the rubber band guy was stupid enough to stand under it and try to shoot it down with his rubber bands. And when he actually hit it, he shrieked and nearly ran over his friends trying to get away from it. No wonder Snez likes to spend her free periods there.

While rehearsing for the assembly, I learnt that Mrs M's daughter (the celloist) actually chose the cello because she was lazy and preferred sitting down. Ah well, it makes more sense than choosing an instrument because it's name sounded cool. *cough* oboe *cough*. People are funny. Speaking of assemblys... I DON'T FUCKING WANT TO PLAY AGAIN AT NEXT WEEK'S ASSEMBLY :@. Aaaargh.

I got my Kris Kringle present yesterday :) It was an Ouran High Host Club manga, Vol 1 and a key necklace. Thanks Tian! LOL I know we're not supposed to know who had us but it was pretty obvious... Only Tian knows I like Ouran High and that I have a fetish for keys. hehe. I also saw my person unwrap hers'. I'm glad she likes it :D

Anyways, considering this is my only last "real" holiday. I'm going to make a list of things I will do:
  • Read the whole Harry Potter series again. This time, IN THE RIGHT ORDER.
  • Get a job so my parents will stop bugging me
  • Do my history extension project - at least a quarter of it since our progress logs are gonna get checked at the beginning of Term 1
  • GO TO MELBOURNE AND QUEENSLAND! We've bought the tickets already and will be going sometime near January the 8th XD
  • Finish my holiday homework early so I don't need to bother about it near the end of the holidays.
  • Have a sleepover at Tians' because she's got new floorboards.
  • Have a movie marathon at Tians' because she's got a new TV.
  • Have a party at Tians'.... just because we can.
  • Make Nancy watch a barbie movie with us - easier said than done.
  • And most importantly: learn French in preparation for next year's overseas trip.

To help with my last dot point, I will be posting all the French words/phrases on this blog so that I don't forget them. My sister will be helping me because she takes French and Japanese classes at school. I'm aiming at 3-4 sentences each week but we'll see. I remember learning a bit of French back in year 7 but I've already forgotten most (if not all) of it...

Forgive my spelling LOL. She taught me how to say these, but not how to write them.

*****

Q: Tu t'appelles comment? (What is your name?)

A: Je m'appelle Cynthia. (My name is Cynthia)

Q: Tu habite ou? (Where do you live? Note: habite = habitat)

A: J'habite en (au?) Australie. (I live in Australia)

Oh dammit, she also taught me to how answer "What language do you speak?" but I've already forgotten...

End of Term 1

This is my second post of the week. Like woah, what has gotten into me. I haven't blogged in a month and a half and suddenly, I've blogged twice in a week. I guess its because it's the:

HOLIDAYS!!!

Such a relief man. Term 1 was so hectic :'( At times it was like I was drowning but I got through it.

1 down; 3 more to go.

I'll just talk a bit about the stuff that happened this term.

I tried out for E-day LOL and totally bombed my audition. It was so FREAKIN SCARY. Like now that I think about it, it shouldn't have been that hard but it was :( I'm such a big chicken these days but when i think about it, I wasn't at all shy when I was small... Anyway, at the end of it, the teachers+students gave me this pitying look; kind of like, "You tried but you sucked." I just can't get over my nervousness. God, I hope I don't have stage fright.

But yeh, for some reason I still got in LOL.

This term, I also found out that Bonnie, Othilia, Tian, Jun and I are going to be playing at the Opera House :D Violin, I mean. The concert is going to be called "Jacaranda" and is part of the "Festival of Instrumental Music". At least that's what it says on my note here but in my opinion it should really be "Festival of the Squawking Geese" because that's what my violin sounds like right now. Oh well, I guess its not that bad compared to my sister's oboe playing. She makes my violin playing sound like a Edward Cullen's voice.

Anyway, So You Think You Can Dance is gonna finish in about a month. I want Jessie, Robbie, Ivy and Philippe(?) to be the Top 4. And I want either Jessie or Robbie to win. Remember these words people. Jessie and Robbie are going to WIN.

Last but not least, here is a game that EVERYONE should play. It's called Boomshine and its seriously the most addictive game in the whole universe.

Click: http://www.k2xl.com/games/boomshine/

You know you want to.

Boring to Busy

It's strange how some days of the holidays can be so damn boring and then BOOM, you find out that your whole week is already filled out.

E.g. my schedule for this week:

Tuesday: Livo?
Wednesday: Going to the city with friends and cousins
Thursday: Grandpa's funeral Part I
Friday: Grandpa's funeral Part II
Saturday: A free day I think
Sunday: HOMEBUSH SWIMMING!!

Btw Bonnie, my phone contacts have magically reappeared :D Seems like your advice of waving a broken branch over my phone worked! :O

I wanted to write more for this blog post but I'm feeling really lazy right now...
I'll just leave you with my daily desktop calender quote (DDCQ):

"Whatever you do, or dream you can, begin it" - Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

I shall leave you to ponder that - cuz I don't even understand it myself.

No Interrupting my Plans >_>

My Holiday Plan:

  • Eat
  • Sleep
  • Breathe
  • & repeat

"I like it :) Simple/easy to remember" - Jack Sparrow

Bye Bye Holidays :'(

I know hardly anyone watches Australian Idol anymore but OMG, I JUST CAME BACK FROM WATCHING THE LAST FEW MINUTES OF IT AND NATHAN JUST SANG "MUSIC OF THE NIGHT" FROM PHANTOM OF THE OPERA. KYAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

Ok, sorry. I had to get that out of my system 8)

Such a sad sad day. I can't believe the holiday's over :'( Why does it always go so fast? I still haven't done half of the things I wanted to do (such as learn more guitar songs and shop for a school bag) and i won't have time to do them during the term cuz of studying and stuff. Oh wells...

Anyway, I've decided to stop writing my story for a while. 1) because I've got other stuff to concentrate on and 2), because I know some of you are secretly going "thank god she's stopping" >_> LOL jks jks. But yeh, I really do need to concentrate more on studying. I've grown so lazy over the weeks.

Yesterday, i recharged my phone and got a $60 bonus amount of credit but I think it expires in 15 days. I also won 150 free texts to people that are also with Optus :D

Most of youse know that I'm struggling in the Sunday tutoring class right? Well today, I actually managed to do a probability question and get it right, before the girl that sits next to me. Usually, she's the one who gets it right and I'm the one who sits and struggles but not today. I was so proud of myself - I gloated for like a whole 5 minutes :D And then, I realised that the reason she didn't get it was because she was from Vietnam and she didn't really know how to read the question properly...

*sigh* and I actually thought I had achieved something for once :'(

On a different note however, I found out that "The Host" - by Stephenie Meyer is gonna be turned into a movie as well. The article about that is here. That's something else i can add to my list of book to movie adaptions that I'm anticipating - along with "Beastly" and "New Moon". Although, I swear, if they butcher it, I'm gonna cry.

,

To Sleep or not to sleep? That is the question.

Ahhh poor blog, I've left you neglected for so long that you're starting to gather virtual dust. How long has it been since I've had some good ol' heart to heart with you eh? LOL.
Today, I'm not gonna blog about a specific event or the latest amateur art that I've done. I'm just gonna ramble like I used to... So happy reading? O_O

Such a big dilemna. Its 11:01 pm and I can't decide what to do. I've finished writing a poem for HA and that took a while coz my hands were literally FROZEN. I feel tired.
As Shakespeare would've put it, " To sleep or not to sleep? That is the question!"

The holidays went by so fast. Most of it was spent at the computer though, playing Sims 2. Did you know they had a man-eating cow plant which could eat the sim's neighbours? HAHAHA I had so much fun with that.

Books that I want to read:

  • The three vampire books that Snezana has.
  • Evernight,
  • Blood Ritual and
  • Whats-its-name(?)
  • At Angus and Robertson's bookstore they have a top 50 children's book section and "Northern lights- by Phillip Pullman" is one of them. I remember reading it in year 5 but I kinda gave up coz it was SOOOOOO boring. Who knows? Maybe I'll finish it this time, I mean it did take me 4 tries to finish lord of the rings :)
  • Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants- book 2,3 and 4
  • Read Alanna the Lioness series again

So, did youse hear about the Swine Flu? It's spreading so fast and my parents are so paranoid. They're like, "If it keeps spreading, we can't go to America because people are infected there". Problem is, if we dont' go we lose $5000 coz we bought the plane tickets already...

On the last day of the holidays, jessica, elyn, lyanna, jun and aaron(?) came to the townhouse unexpectedly. I was wearing my pjs when they knocked on the door :( LOL, we played a bit of music, went to Tian's house, ordered pizza, played T or D and watched Masterchef. It sure beat studying for science (which I SHOULD HAVE studied for btw). You hear that people? If I fail, its your fault :P

Funny part was when Lyanna shouted out,

"I AM GAY!"

in the townhouse. She could've said it louder though. There's nothing to be ashamed of.

And yes, I also bought Hannah's present in the holidays. Hobbo gloves, a box of lindt chocolates and a kimi doll. PHEW that was too close. Next time I should buy her presents earlier, not two days before school starts.

Dammit there's sport tomorrow -.-

Ready. Set. ROLL!

ONE MORE DAY TILL SCHOOL HOLIDAYS(!!)
Not that I would be having much of a holiday... I mean, tutoring doesn't stop and I'm gonna be partially studying for half yearlies. Yeh yeh, call me crazy but a nerd's gotta do what a nerd's gotta do. (jokes)

Seriously though:
I'm still waiting for my EPIC FAIL for science, music and history this year -.-'

Soooo, I had cross country today :) It was tiring and I nearly got lost. You know that hilly part? Well I was running behind kevin and his minder/teacher during that part and I heard the teacher say:

"Kevin, we should've just rolled down the hill..."

Then I started cracking up coz I imagined both of them tumbling down like human sized barrels. But that made me start choking coz my throat was sore from running :( BTW, did anyone see Mr. E's extremely disturbing dancing? *shivers* Oh! That reminds me, everyone better watch the dance finale on sunday. Especially YOU (you know who you are).

I got a veeeery busy schedule in the holidays.
  • Monday- Easter Show (?)
  • GHPS reunion
  • People coming over to form a band at my house :L
  • Cousin's 21st
  • Othilia's B'day?
  • Shopping- For presents, new watch, etc.
  • Wanna go ice skating..
  • & heaps more other stuff that I forgot.

After cross country today, my roll call sat down and listened to the award presentation. Nancy and I were always clapping after everyone else until we realised that 3 english teachers were sitting behind us and staring daggers into our backs. We also played chinese whispers and passed punches down the line. It was fun.

Some of the things that we said were: "Osly got knocked up", "I raped kittens", "It's Mr. Metwally's (?) baby" and "Nancy sucks".

Easter eggs eaten so far: 8

(hey! most of them were the really itsy bitsy little ones)

I will now leave you guys with an easter joke I stole from Rollercoaster.

What do you get if you pour boiling hot water in a rabbit hole?
HOT CROSS BUNNIES!!

HAHAHA.. hahaha.. ha...
lame T.T
