Well, I was plannning on blogging more but Benjamin Button is on TV. Priorities, y'know.
Watching True Blood and Once Upon a Time simultaneously is giving me mental whiplash. One of them is 100% family friendly and the other is... not. It's kind of like trying to read The Hunger Games and The Great Gatsby at the same time. I still love both shows though. They're just different.

Anyhoo, now that I have some free time, I might try doing more crafty things. I drew a tree today. It was fun. For some reason, the art that appeals to me the most is the simple, repetitive stuff. I especially love the paper craft that involves making a lot of little elements and then sticking them together at the end to create something. E.g. the kusudama flower ball I made Tian for her birthday:

If anyone knows of anything similar, please tell me. I'm finding that I have way too much time these days. Just make sure it's not too hard - art and I often don't get along.
I would also like to do some puzzles. Except I don't have any. LOL I still remember this one time Juliana came over back in like, year 8 or something, and we basically spent the day doing puzzles. It was so easy to amuse ourselves back then. But yeah, I need to keep myself occupied. Whenever my mum sees me sitting there with the computer, she either kicks my ass out to do some exercise or hands me a basket full of clothes to fold. Woman really cannot comprehend the meaning of "relaxation". Honestly.

Most of the patterns you can find at www.tanglepatterns.com. Pretty great exercise for stress relief actually - not that I'm stressed. To be honest, I don't think I'm studying as much as I should be. How many hours are you guys putting in per day? Am I doing less because I only have 8 units or is it because I'm just a lazy ho?
The study that I do do seems greatly unproductive. I was trying to write a practice essay for A Doll's House the other day and at the end of it, I realised I'd essentially just recreated my trial essay. It was the same points, the same techniques, the same bloody phrasing. WHY DOES THIS HAPPEN? I always go back to talk about the same things in every essay. There's no variety LOL.
So after working 4 hours on The-Project-That-Shall-Not-Be-Named, I wanted to do something fun. But for me fun = computer games. And computer games = addiction = failed HSC. I'd deliberately not asked for any TV shows before school ended either cause I wanted to be a good girl and focus on my studies. Pffffffffff. Anyway, that left one other thing I could do.... draw fairies!!
She's not exactly a fairy... more like a cross between angel and demon. Close enough. I was going for seelie half versus unseelie half anyway. Oh, and uh, she wasn't supposed to look so Asian; I just kind of suck at drawing faces. No matter! Cultural diversity is always good, even if it is unintentional.
BTW, my shading does not usually look that good. Instagram just makes everything look fifty times better. Instead of one shade of grey, there are fifty shades of grey. (ESHAYS!! SEE WHAT I DID THERE?!?!) Don't read Fifty Shades of Grey by the way - unless you're into BDSM - at which point I still wouldn't recommend it because the writing is shit.
I don't know about you guys but when I'm sick, I get absolutely no pity from my parents. Instead, my mum goes on this crazy rant screaming, "I TOLD YOU SO! YOU SHOULD'VE WORN MORE LAYERS, EXERCISED MORE, ETC. ETC." Unfortunately, today I woke up with a blocked nose and stuffed up throat which meant I had to spend the whole day avoiding my mum. I had to stick to one syllable answers like "yes" and "no" when she asked me questions and everytime I wanted to blow my nose, I had to do it upstairs with the doors closed. So far, she hasn't noticed. I think I should be fine though, as long as she doesn't ask me anything that requires a sentence-long response. Le sigh. I am such an oppressed child.

Anyway now that I've stuck all those quotes on, I can't take them off, EVER. Cause otherwise my wall will have all these random sticky tape marks and blank paint stops left. Heh... maybe I should've thought this through properly first... -.-'
